CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, is developing an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven software for automated pneumoconiosis (Black Lung disease) detection. This project is funded in part by Coal Services Health and Safety Trust. Lungscreen has assisted CSIRO by annotating X-ray images as part of training datasets for the CSIRO prototype AI-software. It is also assisting CSIRO by evaluating the useability and performance of the prototype AI-software as a requirement of the project.
